Books are ordered!

We made it. Off to the press. All problems with final E-file were corrected thanks to every one's help. The job was too big for me. I'll blog when I receive the physical proof in two weeks or more. That's the good news. Meanwhile the publisher is helping me write a marketing plan for the distributor. They want to know just how the book will be sold. That's the bad news here. Unfortunately, nobody is going to read your book if they don't know it is out there somewhere. Here's the catch: Ten percent of the effort is writing the book and ninety percent is marketing what you wrote. My work is just starting. It is all about self-promotion.

My next immediate task is website creation. Pardon me while I start on that now.

Before I sign off here is some more good news: The Bismarck Tribune was sent an advanced reading copy last winter. They posted their review April 13th. Here are some highlights:

"BOOK RECOMMENDED FOR STUDENTS, ADULTS"

Reviewer Rita Greff writes:

"This is a story that captures the reader's attention and creates difficulty in leaving the book alone. Written in the style of a mystery, this novel is devoid of figurative language that would slow the reader to contemplate the beauty of the words. It is action-filled and fast reading."
