It was a relief to send back the final interior layout file to the publisher. It took me a week to read the book, mark the changes and insert them on the publisher's website. I hope I can soon get the revised layout returned for final approval.
I did have a few minor revisions. In one chapter, I created a back story where an elderly lady goes missing while on the train. It's meant to be humorous. That incident took place in Dickinson and Bismarck, ND. I made up the name "Prairie Hills Mall" for the downtown mall in Bismarck not knowing at the time there was a mall by the same name in Dickinson. I should have checked that out more thoroughly. I only checked as far as Bismarck. That oversight could have been confusing to North Dakota readers. The production team doesn't like those types of changes at this stage of the game. It's a pretty cool name for a mall but better that the Bismarck mall remain nameless.
The next step will be the back cover design.
