Si se puede

Standing at the top of the stairway entrance to Cal State San Marcos and Chavez Plaza is a statue of Cesar Chavez, the 1970's Latino civil rights activist and founder of the United Farm Workers union. At one time, he represented 50,000 farm workers in California and Florida. His famous rallying cry si se puede or 'you can do it' was the motto he invented for the poor working class. Planning a three state book tour has been a gargantuan task. The tour begins in Dickinson, ND August 20 and ends in Livingston, MT September 13th. Follow the blog for updates along the tour. I can do it!
