Valley City, North Dakota-City of Bridges
What is there in Valley City not to like? It was great meeting so many of the fine folks that so graciously answered my questions during the many interviews. Eagles Nest Book store was a great host for the signing. Wes Anderson was also a good host allowing me to participate in their lecture series at the Barnes County Museum. It was a thrill to tour the campus of Valley City State University and speak to some of the faculty that assisted me in such a kindly way. It is an old but charming campus. It was the first week of school and they were pleased to have record enrollment. I had lunch with Brad Cruff, who is the county's States Attorney. He is running for judge. Good luck Brad. The book sales were brisk and I think the story is beginning to take root in the town. It was fun to walk in the door Tuesday of the AmericInn and see the story pitched on the front page of the Valley City Times Record.
